The Ultimate Underdog Story

My childhood was defined by the gridiron. At Turpin High School, I was an All-Ohio football player. I dreamed of D1 glory, but falling short of that dream taught me something better: a relentless work ethic and an attitude unafraid of failure.

I’m the kid who asked for an Earl Boykins jersey for Christmas because I wanted to see the small guy win. At 24, running for federal office as an Independent without party backing, I am embracing that "David vs. Goliath" spirit.

During my time at Miami University, I embarked on an art project documenting how I found God throughout my undergraduate years. This perspective—one that looks upward and outward—is what I bring to Washington.

I'm currently living in my parents' basement, saving every cent for graduate school to become a Physical Therapist. This is the reality for many young people today, and it's a reality our representatives need to understand.
